Blessings
Feeling weighted down by the demands on our time and of ourselves, it’s easy to miss the blessings that we have in our lives. Responsibilities with our jobs, relationships, children, pets, social life, etc. can feel like burdens and consume us until we begin merely going through the motions and forget to stop and appreciate all of the good fortune we truly have. Focusing on our burdens instead of our blessings can leave us feeling tired, stressed, depressed and physically ill.
Have faith that you are never given any more burdens that you can handle. When you look at your life through the eyes of your soul, you begin to recognize all of the blessings you have and life’s aggravations begin to melt away. When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change.
So when a new day dawns and the alarm clock rings, lie still for just a few seconds before rising and reflect on the blessings in your life before embarking upon your day. Everything will flow much more smoothly when you have an ‘attitude of gratitude.’
